FEU Is New Cheerdance Champ; UP Pep Settles for Third
After years of domination by the UP Pep Squad and the UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe, the UAAP Cheerdance Competition now has a new champion–the FEU Cheering Squad!
Their superb, nearly perfect execution of their sequence paid off to giving them their first ever cheerdance championship crown. The UP Pep Squad, last year’s champion, failed to do a three-peat after capping the crown for two years. They settled for this year’s third best, while the Ateneo Blue Babble Batallion was second placer. The UST Salinggawi, the team with the most cheerdance titles at 8, did not feature in the top three.
Banners saying “save the best for last” were scattered all over the jam-packed Araneta Coliseum by supporters of the FEU Squad, whose school also happens to be this year’s UAAP host.
Indeed, the best was saved for last.
Congratulations to all the cheering squads who came out and gave their best to the delight and delirium of the crowd that flocked to the Big Dome. And most of all, congratulations to FEU, ADMU, and UP for being the best this year.
